Celebrate a reenactment of Norman Rockwell’s Stockbridge at Christmas December 6-8th 2013. Get to this historical town by horse drawn carriage Limousine, vintage car, parlor train or magically appear to witness what life was like in that era.
Starting on Friday the winners of the weekend getaway arrive in style compliments of Abbott’s Limousine. This is a huge weekend of grand events.
Hear classic stories of this season at the Stockbridge Library from 6:00-6:30p
Saturday 11am to 4pm tour the historic properties, B&B’s and Inns. Tour is self guided but requires tickets $20.00 Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce or at the Red Lion Inn.
In the Evening, Caroling and a luminary walk to the Congregational Church, bring your candle or flashlight to hear a concert at 7:30 pm by Berkshire Lyric Chorus and the Blafield Childrens Chorus and Music director Jack Brown.
Sunday Stockbridge Main Street At Christmas Recreation 12 to 2pm
Be early as the main street will be closed to traffic at 11:30am
Antique cars will line the streets provided that they are clear of snow. It will look similar to that famous painting that Norman Rockwell started to paint in the 50’s and finished in the 60’s and one could say has because timeless!
