Incredibly, another year has rapidly rolled for Abbott’s Limo like a downtown IRT train in the express lane. Christmas is on the horizon, but Thanksgiving looms just ahead so Abbott’s Limousine will talk about December, Christmas, and all of the Holidays for the next few blogs posts. Stay tuned for more.
For the time being Abbott’s Limousine will concentrate on the many great events coming up in November on the run-up to Thanksgiving.
Although spring is long past and fall foliage has peaked, our full complement of cultural venues in The Berkshires is still gloriously in full bloom.
For example, Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox will be staging the 23rd Annual Fall Festival of Shakespeare performances November 17th-20th. The 10-play Festival is the culmination of a nine-week residency program for 500 aspiring actors drawn from secondary schools in western Massachusetts and eastern upstate New York.
The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington will host the Moscow Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker November 10th & 11th and then legendary funk/blues saxophonist Maceo Parker will electrify the stage with a performance on Friday, November 18th.
MASS MoCA, in North Adams, continues to build on it’s reputation as one of the most progressive and innovative museums of modern art in America with such exhibits as Federico Diaz’s technology inspired and derived outdoor installation titled “Geometric Death Frequency-141”. Nari Ward’s “Sub Mirage Lignum” exploits MASS MoCA’s unique interior expanses with an exhibit of such grand scale that it evokes the same sensation one gets when walking through the galleries of the Museum of Natural History in New York City. And the world-renowned permanent incarnation of Sol Lewitt’s grand vision of a compilation of 105 colorful wall drawings continues to draw crowds from across the U.S. All of these exhibits will be running at least through the end of the year.
Finally, The Berkshire Museum, in conjunction with The City of Pittsfield, will kick off its 27th Annual Festival of Trees on November 19th with a show called Under the Big Top.
From Great Barrington to North Adams and all points in between, the month of November will be chock full of events to kick off your holiday season in high spirits Abbott’s Limo will be safely and comfortably getting people to these destinations so they may enjoy the festivities.
Abbott’s Livery and Limousine Service in Lee stands at the ready to provide you with executive transportation to and within The Berkshires. Sit back and leave the driving to us.
